The devctl loop condition bug is a great reminder that old code can hide for years, especially when the toolchain is closed and nobody can inspect the failure path. Our own team also leans heavily on open source for the same reason: when something misbehaves under load, being able to read the source usually saves days of guesswork. And a good reminder to keep system() and interactive tools out of non-interactive code paths.
